Young Professionals
Southgate is a place where young women can grow professionally, personally, and spiritually. We foster a culture of friendship, mutual support, and respect for the dignity of each person. It is a place to network and broaden one's interests. ​Southgate is dedicated to supporting and strengthening women, inspiring them to have a positive impact on their workplace and social environment.
Activities
Mentoring
Personal guidance that helps one grow in self-knowledge, formulate goals, and gain insightful advice toward developing a rewarding life.
Cultural Enrichment
Monthly gatherings aimed at broadening one's horizon and outlook on life. Topics can include theatre, finance, music, literature, international customs and cuisine, and open discussions on topics of current interest. Periodic trips and outings are also organized for those interested in hiking, biking, sports -- or those simply wanting a good time!
Volunteer Opportunities
Learn servant leadership by sharing your gifts and talents with others. Challenge yourself to have an active concern for those in need by participating in the Southgate outreach programs.
Spiritual Activities
Meditations
A reflection guided by a priest, this is an opportunity to contemplate on one’s life through a Christian lens.
Recollections (1st Wednesday)
A monthly “mini-retreat,” a few hours of quiet prayer when one look at her life in God's presence. These hours of prayer will be guided by a talk, meditations, an examination of conscience, and will end with Benediction. There will also be opportunities for spiritual direction and confession.
Doctrine Classes
An opportunity to learn about the teachings of the Catholic Church. Check out the current schedule here.
Retreat Weekends
An opportunity to get away and spend a couple of days to silently reflect on one’s daily life, academic endeavors, and social relationships in light of the truths of the Catholic faith. Retreats are held at Featherock Conference Center. For more information and to register, click here.
